How about we go in the same order as before - Izzet, Selesnya, Golgari, Azorius and Rakdos? Notice that this (the second cycle of guildmages - the first being from the Ravnica, City of Guilds) has them named after their clan's 'turf' rather than the guild.
So first the Nivix Guildmage - I really like this one. A 2/2 for 2 is ok but he comes with bolt on abilities.
It starts off with a nice bit of card draw - which never hurts - and, being in red, naturally includes a requirement to discard. But it's cool because he looks laid back about it..
The one I like though is his 2nd ability. On it's own it could turn a Searing Spear into 2 searing spears for 6 mana - ok it's expensive but when you are topdecking 6 mana for 6 damage is one you'll take every time. However the fun starts when you start to copy other types of spells in the big mana bracket called EDH.
Go into Jeskai colors and Copy things like Sphinx's Revelation, Aurelia's Fury etc or play this in a Niv-Mizzet deck (like I do) and copy a Blue Sun's Zenith to up Niv-Mizzet's commander damage.
If you have 12 mana free you can Blue Sun's Zenith for 9 or you can Zenith for 5 and copy it to draw 10 (12 mana and above is your threshold point for it becoming 'worthwhile' to copy the spell)
...of course if you were playing this alongside the new prowess creatures copying ANY spell is a bonus. Notice one more thing about this card? It's not a tap ability which means that you can do it more than once.
Very on flavor for Izzet and rather useful in combo decks for Standard and Modern as well as in certain commander decks.
