I think the divide is going to be permanent. Ireland has too many problems to consider absorbing Northern Ireland, and they can't function on their own. It is a really difficult situation over there.
But watching that video, I feel hopeful and positive. It is irrelevant what we think about what the nswer is, we are not over there living it every day. The fact that these teenagers are quite happy to interact, and are wishing that they had mixed as children is deeply telling. In ten years time, we will have two generations who will not have known the horrible conflict. I hope that they can see past the issues of times gone, and can forge together, united as a people.
Sorry, cannot write any more right now, I have managed to get a hibernating butterfly on my arm, and am trying to get it off, and somewhere safe without accidentally killing it...

They need to see themselves as Irish, no matter the differences of opinion. Once you start having that unity, then peace should be stronger as a result.
